《摩登家庭》S10E7：“拼盡全力”英語怎麼說？
卡梅隆突然發現自己忘記了最喜愛歌曲的歌詞，這首歌從小唱到大，忘了歌詞就是忘了自己的根。
爲了尋根，卡梅隆要在後院養雞，回味童年時光。
1. bend the law/rules
bend the law/rules類似於change the rules，意思是“變通，通融；放鬆規定“。
Can't you bend the rules a little? I was only a few minutes late.
你就不能稍微變通一下嗎？我只不過遲到了幾分鐘而已。
2. the apple doesn't fall far from the tree
這個表達本來是“the apple never falls far from the tree“，字面上就是“蘋果落地，離樹不遠”。
本意其實是指一個人的行爲舉止和其父母有相仿之處。
關於apple，這個表達大家很熟悉了：
the apple of sb's eye，意思是（某人的）心肝寶貝，掌上明珠。
3. bother
這裏的bother是名詞，表示麻煩，煩惱；問題。
I can take you there - it's really no bother.
我可以帶你去——一點都不麻煩。
Please don't go to any bother on my account.
請不要爲我費心。
I had a bit of bother getting hold of his phone number.
我費了一點工夫才弄到他的電話號碼。
4. with every fibre of your being
fibre的意思是（植物或人造物的）纖維，絲；（布、繩等的）纖維；纖維物質；（人體組織的）纖維，也形容人的品質；素質。
with every fibre of your being表示“一心一意；極其地“。
She wanted to win the race with every fibre of her being.
她一心想在賽跑中獲勝。
