舌尖上的美國(21):抱怨篇(上)

In our daily life,it always have something that can makes you unhappy,maybe we will make a complaint at that 's a good idea to be as polite as possible even when complaining about something.生活中隨時可能會出現不順心的事情，偶爾抱怨一下也是無妨的，不過抱怨的時候最好還是顯得有素質一點比較好，不要出現污言穢語。

Suck這個字在美國用的很多,它就是指很爛,很差的意思. Suck是一個動詞,所以在使用上跟爛這個形容詞是不太一樣的,例如你可以說, That traffic here really sucks!就是說這裏的交通糟透了的意思. 有時也聽得到人家用suck的形容詞sucky.

Suck這個字的原意是指用嘴巴吸的意思,所以有人就設計了這麼一個吸果凍的比賽. 規則很簡單,就是不能用手,只能用嘴巴把果凍吸光. 所以比賽一開始,只聽到觀衆大喊, Hey, you suck!表面上聽來是說,你快點吸的意思,事實上則是暗地裏罵人爛的意思。

2.I am sick and tired of doing homework. 我對做作業感到厭煩.

Sick and tired of something可以視之爲一個片語,所以並沒有sick (生病)的意思在裏面!例如販賣機老是吃錢,你也可以說I am sick and tired of this vending machine.還有一句話也很有趣, I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired. 就是說你對於老是感到厭煩已經感到十分厭煩了,我想這是很多都市人共同的心聲吧.

3．I am terrible/horrible.我很糟糕.

這句並不是說我很可怕或恐怖的意思. terrible翻成中文的意思是糟糕.有時他們也會用terrible來形容一個教授, He is so terrible,就是說這個老師教的很爛,而不是說他很會嚇人. 要是用terrible來形容一樣東西,則表示該樣東西很糟糕,例如形容食物,如The food is terrible,說的當然就是食物很難吃了

Horrible跟terrible的意思可說是一模一樣,兩者可以互換使用,例如, The coffee is horrible. 或是Our professor is horrible.

下面在介紹幾句常用的用於提出抱怨的句子：

1. i’m afraid i have a complaint to make.恐怕我要提點意見.

2. i’m sorry to say this，but there seems to be a mistake.對不起，這兒好像有個錯.

3. do you have to act like that？你非得那麼做嗎？

4. would you mind not doing it？你能不能別那麼做？

5. i do wish you wouldn’t do that.我希望你別那麼做.

6. please don’t do it without asking.未經允許請不要那麼做.

7. can’t you do something about it？你就不能想點辦法嗎？

8. i hate to bring this up，but this is a nonsmoking zone.對不起提醒一下，這兒是禁菸區.

9. would you please try to keep quiet at this hour？這麼晚了，你能不能儘量保持安靜.
