舌尖上的美國(37):取消約會

在之前的節目中我們談到過如何進行預約，那麼今天來我們來看看如何取消或改變：

A:I'm calling about your h has to cancel all his appointments because he's got something urgent to attend to. (現在打電話是預約的事，史密斯因爲有事處理不得不取消所有約會.)

B:When can I go to see him? (我什麼時候可以去見他呢?)

A:Anytime except se give him a call before you come. (除了今天什麼時候都行,來都給他打個電話.)

B:OK. (可以.)

Notice：當你和別人約好做一件事情，但是後來又想取消，該怎麼說呢？Scratch這個詞可以幫你的忙。Scratch在詞典裏的解釋是"用指甲或是爪子去刮；塗鴉、隨手亂畫"。在口語上，scratch something便衍生爲"取消"或"刪除"原來的計劃。再說得簡單一些，scratch這個用法跟我們常講的forget這個詞十分類似。例如本來約好明天要去看電影，但你臨時想取消，這時你可以說，"Let's forget it."或是換句話說"Let's scratch the plan."

A:Will you be available on Saturday or Sunday?(你星期六或星期天有空嗎？)

B:Scratch the Saturday thing. I'll be available only on Sunday evening. (星期六我不行，我只有星期天晚上可以)

這句話完全就等於"Forget about Saturday. I'll be available only on Sunday evening."

接下來提供大家一些改變約會的常用句型：

變更約會日期

1. I’d like to cancel my appointment with Mr. Scott.我想取消和史考特先生的約會。

2. Something urgent has come up. Could I postpone our appointment.發生了一些急事。我倆的約會能不能延期？

3. May I ask you to postpone the meeting until the day after tomorrow?可以要求你將會面時間延到後天嗎？

hedule的用法（重新安排，另約時間）

I may not have enough time in the coming few months, so let's reschedule the classes later.接下來幾個月我可能沒有足夠的時間，所以關於上課我們以後另約時間吧。

5.一些與老外約時間和因故另約時間的英語表達

1) Can we meet at 5pm tomorrow at the gate of Donghua University?明天下午5點我們在東華大學門口碰面好嗎？

2) Today's appointment is cancelled due to the heavy rain.由於雨太大今天的約會取消了。

3) Can we postpone the meeting to 7pm as I feel sick now?我們把會議延期到晚上7點好嗎？我現在覺得不舒服。

4) I can take that job as I have pretty many free time slots in the evenings.我可以做那個工作因爲我現在晚上很空。
