北京消息：公安部週二宣佈，中國將每年1月10日設立爲“中國人民警察節”。

【講解】

Chinese people's police day是中國人民警察節。
這一決定得到了黨中央（the Communist Party of China Central Committee）、國務院（State Council）的批准。
“中國人民警察節”是在國家層面專門爲人民警察隊伍設立的節日（a festival specially designated for the police），是對人民警察隊伍爲黨和人民利益（in the interests of the Party and the people）英勇奮鬥（heroic struggle）的充分肯定（full recognition）。
人民警察隊伍是一支有着光榮傳統（honorific traditions）和優良作風（fine conduct）的隊伍，也是和平年代（in peacetime）犧牲最多（sacrificed the most）、奉獻最大（contributed the greatest）的隊伍。
新中國成立（the founding of the People's Republic of China）以來，全國僅公安機關人民警察隊伍就有1.4萬餘名民警（police officers）英勇犧牲（laid down their lives），10餘萬名民警負傷，3700餘名民警被評爲烈士。在今年上半年疫情防控和維護安全穩定（prevent and control the epidemic and to maintain security and stability）工作中，共有169名公安民警因公犧牲。
