A Brief Introduction of Mid-Autumn Festival
中秋節概述On the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar, the moon is round and the Chinese people mark their Moon (or Mid-autumn) Festival. The round shape to a Chinese means family reunion. Therefore the Moon Festival is a holiday for members of a family to get together wherever it is possible. On that day sons and daughters will bring their family members back to their parents' house for a reunion. Sometimes people who have already settled overseas will come back to visit their parents on that day.
在農曆8月份的第15天，月亮是圓的，中國人把這一天定爲月亮（或中秋節）節。圓圓的形狀，以一箇中國人意味着與家人團聚。因此，中秋節是家庭成員聚在一起的日子，無論在哪裏都是可能的。在那一天，兒子和女兒們都將攜各自的家庭成員回到自己父母家團聚。有時候，已經在國外定居的人會在那一天回來看望他們的父母。
