If you are worried that the world will end next year based on the Mayan calendar, relax. Mayan specialists meeting in Mexico said it merely marks the termination of one period of creation and the beginning of another, Reuters reported.

如果你擔心按照瑪雅日曆世界將於明年終結，你就放心好了。據路透社報道，瑪雅專家們日前在墨西哥舉行會議指出，2012僅僅意味着一個"創世紀"的結束，和另一個"創世紀"的開始。

The Mayan calendar marks the end of a 5,126-year-old cycle around Dec 21, 2012. But the date only reflects a transition from one era to the next in which Bolon Yokte, a Mayan god associated with war and creation, returns. There is nothing apocalyptic, said experts.

瑪雅日曆認爲，一次5126年的大輪迴週期將於2012年12月21日之際結束。但這個日期僅意味着世界將過渡至下一個時代，即戰爭與創造之神博隆·約克特再度降臨的時代。專家表示，這並不意味着世界末日。
