1.“room key”指“房間鑰匙”，現在一般賓館的“room key”都選用一種卡片，稱作鑰匙卡，英文叫“key card”。[qh]
2.英美關於樓層的表達方法不一致，需要注意。美國和我國的數法相同，英國把一樓稱爲“the ground floor”，二樓起分別稱爲“the first floor，the second floor...”。此外，“story”也可以表示“層”，但“floor”是把觀點放在建築物內部的說法，而“story”則是反映從外部看到的包含各層高度的空間，因而要說“…層建築”的時候要使用“story”，對於這個詞，英美的用法相同，例如：a building of 4 stories（一幢4層的建築）。英式英語中把“story”拼寫成“storey”。[qh]

飯店客房狀態[qh]

在飯店裏，客房通常分爲以下幾種狀態：[qh]
住入房（Occupied，簡寫爲OCC），即客人正在住用的客房。[qh]
走人房（Check Out，簡寫爲CO），表示客人已結賬並已離開的客房。[qh]
空房（Vacant，簡寫爲V），表示暫時無人租用的客房。[qh]
未清掃空房（Vacant Dirty，簡寫爲VD），表示沒有經過打掃的空房。[qh]
外宿房（Sleep Out，簡寫爲S/O），表示該客房已被租用，但住客昨夜未歸的客房。[qh]
維修房（Out Of Order．簡寫爲OOO），表示因設施設備發生故障，暫不能租給住客。[qh]
已清掃空房（Vacant Clean．簡寫爲VC），亦稱OK房，表示該客房已清掃完畢，可以重新租給住客。[qh]
請勿打擾房（Do Not Disturb，簡寫爲DND），表示該客房的客人因睡眠或其他原因不願服務人員打擾。[qh]
貴賓房（Very Important Person．簡寫爲VIP）V表示該客房住客是飯店的重要客人。[qh]
常住房（Long Staying Person．簡寫爲LSP），又稱“長包房”，即長期由客人包租的客房。[qh]
請即打掃房（Make Up Room．簡寫爲MUR），表示因人爲或其他原因需服務人員立即打掃的客房。[qh]
輕便行李房（Little Baggage，簡寫爲LB），表示住客行李很少的客房。[qh]
無行李房（No Baggage，簡寫爲NB），表示住客無行李的客房。[qh]
準備退房（Expected Departure，簡寫爲ED），表示該客房住客應在當天中午12:00以前退房。[qh]
加牀房（Extra Bed，簡寫爲EB），表示該客房有加牀。[qh]
