Liz受邀參加皇家動物保護協會的演說，Jon卻因爲自己的告白失敗而悶悶不樂，決意隨行至London再次告白。Garfield一邊數落Jon的癡情表現，一邊暗暗盤算着怎樣混去London大飽眼福——當然，還有好好祭祭自己的五臟廟。看來家家有本難唸的經啊。本期的五個句子都是日常生活中的常用句子，一起來看看。
（1）I will send your regards to the queen.我會代你問候女王的。
——Liz要去London訪問，並沒有注意到Jon的告白意圖，真是好事多磨。Regard除了“看待, 當作”的意思以外還有“關心，注意，尊敬”的意思，如：He has high regard for your work.他十分敬重你的工作。又如：Give the family my best regards. 祝您全家幸福。
（2）Oh, you poor sap. 哦，你這個大白癡。
——Jon準備追去London向Liz告白的舉動在Garfield眼中實在沒有什麼意義，或許它只關心美食和衛星電視吧。Sap是“笨人，傻子”的意思，或許不是很常用，表示這個意思的單詞還有：dolt——“呆子，傻瓜，笨蛋”；idiot——“白癡，愚人，傻瓜”；fool是常用的一個詞，例如：I was a fool to have refused the job. 我真傻，拒絕了那份工作。此外，關於fool還有個重要的短語：fool around，表示“瞎逛，到處混，無所事事”，如：Stop fooling around！別整天無所事事的瞎逛！又如：He was fooling around with some figures in hopes of balancing the budget. 他懶散地算着數字，希望能收支平衡。
（3）You moron. 你沒得救了。
——Jon對Liz一往情深，哪裏會理會Garfield的反對呢？Moron常用於口語，意思是“低能者，笨人”。掌握這個短小精悍的句子，下次碰到意志頑固到令你無奈的人時，你可以賣弄出去。
（4）England is no great shakes, huh? 哼，英國也不怎麼樣嘛。
——Garfield以爲自己到了London，事實上它正在被送往貓狗收容所，看來這一次Jon不準備帶着這個大麻煩去London了。No great shakes是俚語，意思是“Unexceptional, ordinary.非例外的；普通的”。Louis Auchincloss說過，“stepping in between the victim and the bully, even when the victim happens to be no great shakes”意爲“即使受害者是普通百姓，我們也應保護受害者不受惡霸欺侮”。
（5）If you could give him a pan of lasagna between each meal, that would be great. 兩頓飯之間最好給它吃一盤意大利麪。
——Jon在細心叮囑工作人員好好照顧Garfield的同時，Garfield已經成功“越獄”了。使用that would be great的表達法讓句子增色不少，這裏再送給大家一個類似的對話：
