基本概況

China Pharmaceutical Universify(CPU)，originally the National Pharmaceutical School founded in 1936，is one of the“Project 211”key universities affiliated with Ministry of was China's first independent school of pharmacy and after seventy years of cultivation and construction，CPU has developed into the largest multi-disciplinary university in China focusing on pharmaceutical sciences and incorporating science，engineering，economics，business，and arts.

中國藥科大學是教育部直屬的國家“211工程”建設高校學校始建於1936年，稱爲國立藥學專科學校，是我國第一所獨立設置的高等藥學院。經過近70年的勵精圖治，銳意進取，學校已發展成爲以藥學爲特色，理、工、、管、文學科兼有的、特色鮮明的多科性大學。

It is located in Nanjing，the ancient capital city for six dynasties in China and is composed of three campuses including Xuanwu campus，Yanziji campus and Zhenjiang campus. The new campus，Jiangning，which is under construction，covers an area of 163 hectares. Its overall construction area is 670 000 square meters.

學校位於六朝古都南京市，由南京玄武門校區、燕子磯校區和鎮江校區組成正在建設的江寧新校區佔地面積163公頃，總建築面積達67萬平方米

CPU consists of 10 schools and departments，6 research institutes and 7 research centers. CPU offers IS four-year undergraduate specialties as well as 26 master's programs，23 doctoral programs and 1 post-doctoral program with 6 disciplines that are approved by the Academic Degree Commission of the State e are three key national disciplines:Pharmaceutical Chemistry，Pharmacognosy，Pharmaceutics and one key provincial discipline-Modern Traditional Chinese Pharmacy and Pharmacognosy. CPU is the only institution that is authorized by the Ministry of Education to admit regular students of pharmaceutical sciences，continuing education students and senior visiting scholars from overseas. It is also one of the educational institutions in the mainland for students from Hongkong，Macao and Taiwan.

學校下設l0個院部系，6個研究所,7個研究中心。設置15個本科專業，有26個碩士點，23個博士點，一個博士後流動站科專業。其中藥物化學、生藥學、藥劑學3與天然藥物學學科是江蘇省11，以及6個國務院學位委員會批准的學個學科爲國家重點學科點，現代中藥學學學科外國來華留學生、個重中之重學科之一。學校是教育部指定接受藥進修生和高級訪問學者的唯一基地，也是教育部批准可以接受華僑、港澳地區及臺灣省學生的定點院校之一。

The university boasts a team of high-qualified professors and pharmaceutical experts. There are more than 1 400 faculty members，including 610 full time teachers. 40 percent of them own advanced academic titles and 45 percent of them have master degrees or higher degrees. There are one academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the other from the Chinese Academy of Engineering，60 doctoral supervisors，122 master supervisors，51 teachers enjoying government special allowance.

學校師資力量雄厚，薈萃着衆多知名的藥學專家、教授。現有教職員工1 400餘人，專任教師610餘人，其中具有高級職稱的佔40 }0，具有碩士及以上學位的佔45，有中國科學院院士和中國工程院院士2人，有博士生導師60人，碩士生導師122人，51名教師享受國家政府特殊津貼。

The total number of postgraduates reaches to 1 380 and nearly one third of them are doctoral candidates. There are over 7 500 full time undergraduates in the four or three year studies and over 11 000 students of adult education.

在校研究生1,380餘人(其中博士生約佔1/3)，全日制本專科生成人教育在籍生11 000餘人。

CPU operates under the guiding spirit of being“strict，practical，creative and cooperative" students graduated from CPU have been devoting spirit, a wide range of knowledge and highly quality. For many years，the students have enjoyed a reputation from the society and the employers. The employment rate tops among the higher institutions in Jiangsu Province. The employment rate of the year 2003 graduates reached 99. 74%，with 100% for post-graduate students，99. 8}o for undergraduate students and 99. 33% for students from vocational school

學校形成了“嚴謹、求實、團結、創新”的優良校風。畢業生以其敬業精神好、知識面寬、能力強和素質高，贏得了社會的廣泛好評和歡迎。就業率名列江蘇省高校之首。2003年的就業率高達99. 74%，其中研究生就業率100%、本科生就業率99.8%、專科生就業率99.33%。

歷史變遷

1936 China Pharmaceutical University，originally the National Pharmaceutical School，was founded.

1936年中國藥科大學的前身國立藥學專科學校成立。

1952 It was renamed East China Pharmaceutical Institute.

1952年學校更名爲華東藥學院。

1956 It was renamed Nanlinq Pharmaceutical Institute.

1956年學校更名爲南京醫學院。

1986 It was merged with Nanjing Institute of Chinese Medicine to form China Pharmaceutical University.

1986年學校與南京中藥學院合併成立中國藥科大學。
