基本概況

Hebei Universityof Technology(HEBUT) is the only state key university in Hebei Province with its focus on engineering and a rapid development of humanities and social sciences. The predecessor of HEBUT is Beiyang Technological School，established in its tenturylong history，especially through the construction under“Project 211”，REBUT has become a famous multi-discipline university in North China.

河北工業大學是一所以工爲主、人文社科快速發展的、河北省屬唯一一所國家“211工程”建設的國家重點大學。學校的前身是創辦於1903年的北洋工藝學堂。經過百年建設，尤其是“211工程”建設，河北工業大學已經成爲華北著名的多學科大學。

REBUT is located in the city of Tianjin on the seaside of the Bohai sea with its branch school in Langfang city. The University now occupies an area of 227 hectares with a floor space up to 800 000 square meters. A floor space of 300 000 square meters on the new campus，which covers 167 hectares，has been put intouse. The total collection of the university library reaches over 1 544 000 volumes.

學校坐落在渤海灣的天津市，在河北省廊坊市設有分校，佔地227公頃，建築面積80餘萬平方米。總面積167公頃的新校區已有30萬平方米建築已經投人使用。學校圖書館藏書達154.4萬冊。

The University has 16 academic schools，1 direct teaching department，57 undergraduate specialties and 23 three-year undergraduate specialties. It has 2 state key disciplines，4 disciplines of provincial level with distinctive characteristics，15 provincial key disciplines，3 doctoral programs at the first-level，17 doctoral programs，l0 master's programs at the first-level，56 master's programs，13 fields with engineering master's programs and 4 post-doctorate stations，one of which is assessed as the State Excellent Post-doctorate Station.

學校設有16個學院，一個直屬教學部，57個本科專業，23個專科專業;擁有2個國家級重點學科，4個省級強勢特色學科，巧個省級重點學科，3個博士學位授權一級學科，17個博士學位授權學科、專業，10個碩士學位授權一級學科，56個碩士學位授權學科、專業，13個工程碩士專業學位授權領域，4個博士後科研流動站，1個博士後科研流動站被評爲全國優秀博士後流動站。

The total number of faculty members of REBUT is more than 2 100，including 1 100 professionals，600 full or associate professors，over 200 with doctor degrees，59 doctoral supervisors，365 master supervisors，21 recipients of special subsidies from the State Council，2 professors on“Cheungkong Scholars Program"，and 46 experts and scholars with outstanding contributions or excellent talents of the newcentury. Currently，the university has the total enrollment of 20 500 students，including 17 300 undergraduate students and three-year undergraduates，3 200 master's or doctoral candidates，and nearly 10 000 undergraduate students of adult education. What is more，City College of Hebei University of Technology，which is the independent second-class college under REBUT and was founded in 2001 authorized by the Government of Hebei Province and the Ministry of Education，has 45 undergraduate specialties and 12 000 fulltime students.

現有在職教職員工2 100餘人，其中專任教師1 100餘人，具有副高級以上職稱教師600餘人，具有博士學位教師200餘人，博士生導師59人、碩士生導師365人，享受國務院特殊津貼21人，“長江學者獎勵計劃”特聘教授崗位2個。省級以上有突出貢獻的專家、學者、新世紀優秀人才、名師46人。現有全日制在校生20 500餘人，其中本、專科生17 300餘人，研究生3 200餘人。另有成人本專科教育學生近萬人。經河北省人民政府批准、教育部予以確認、依託河北工業大學創立的獨立二級學院—河北工業大學城市學院，成立於2001年，現設有45個本科專業，在校生12 000餘人。

Glorious History

歷史變遷

1903 Beiyang Technological School，the predecessor of Hebei University of Technology，was established.

1903年河北工業大學的前身北洋工藝學堂成立。

1904 It was renamed Zhili High Academy of Technology.

1904年改稱直隸高等工業學校。

1929 It was renamed Technological College of Hebei Province

1929年改稱河北省立工業學院。

1950 It was renamed Hebei Technological College.

1950年改名爲河北工學院。

1995 It was renamed Hebei University of Technology.

1995年更名爲河北工業大學。
