基本概況China Agricultural University directly under the administration of the Ministry of Education and is a state key university listed in the nation “Project 21 t”and“Project 985” a history of nearly a hundred years，China Agricultural University has developed into a comprehensive university with agriculture as its characteristic and advantage，offering a group of disciplines such as agriculture and life science，resource and environment science，information and computer science，agricultural engineering and automation scienceeconomic administration and social science.
中國農業大學是教育部直屬、進入國家“211工程”和“985工程”建設的全國重點大學。歷經沂百年的世紀風雨，中國農業大學已經發展成爲一所以農業爲特色和優勢的綜合性大學，形成了特色鮮明、優勢一互補的農業與生命科學資源.與環境科學、信息與計算機科學、農業工程與自動化科一學、經濟管理與社會科學等學科羣。
The university has 13 schools involved in 9 programs:agriculture，engineering，science，economics，management，law，literature，medicine，philosophy，apart from a school of postgraduates and a school of continual education. CAU is now has 19 state key disciplines，14 ministry key disciplines，10 post doctorate stations.2 state key laboratories，18 ministry key laboratories，4 state research centers and 9 ministry research centers.
學校共設有13個學院，涉及農學、工學、理學、經濟學、管理學法學、文學、醫學、哲學等九大學科門類;設有研究生院和繼續教育學院學校擁有19個國家級重點學科，14個部級重點學科一;10個博士後流動站;2個國家級重點實驗室，18個部級重點實驗室;4個國家級研究中心，9個部級研究中心。
China Agricultural University has 2 737 fulltime teachers，including 5 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and 5 academicians of the Chinese Academy of icngineering Sciences，286 full professors，504 associate professors，13 special professors of“Cheungkong Scholars Program”and 18 state outstanding youth with science a Agricultural University has 11 doctorate programs in first-level disciplines，61 doctorate programs，96 master programs and 60 undergraduate majors.
中國農業大學現有2737餘位專職教師，其中中國科學院院士5人中國工程院院士5人，教授286人、副教授504人，“長江學者獎勵計劃”特聘教授13人，“國家傑出青年科學基金”18人。中國農業大學擁有11個博士學位授權一級學科，61個博士學位授權點，96個碩士學位授權點;60個本科專業。BCAU has a total enrolment of 14400 fulltime undergraduate students，2530 full-time postgraduate students of master degrees，1460 fulltime postgraduate students fior doctorate degrees，over 30 researchers in the post-doctorate stations，1761 master candidates of disciplines，77 doctorate candidates of disciplines and 17918 adult education students or online a Agricultural University keeps its superiority in agriculture discipline，exponds new disciplines and greatly develops communication and cooperation internationally.

歷史變遷1905 Agriculture Science University of Jing Shi Da Xue Tang(the Metropolitan University was founded.
1905年京師大學堂農科大學成立。1949 Agriculture College of Beijing University，University，and Agriculture college of North China University merged to form Beijing Agricultu University
1949年北京大學農學院一、清華大學農學院和華北大學農學院合併爲北京農業大學1952 Agriculture Machinery Department of Beijing Agricultural University，North China Agriculture Machinery Academy，and Machine Planting College of the ministry of Agriculture
1952年北京農業人學農業機械系與華北農業機械專科學校、中央農業部機耕學校，合併成立北京機械化農業學院。1953 Beijing merged to form Beijing Machinery Agriculture inery Agriculture College was renamed Beijing Agricultural Machinery College
1953年北京機械化農業學院更名爲北京農業機械化學院。1985 Beijing Agricultural Machinery College was renamed Beijing Agriculture Engineering University.
1985年北京農業機械化學院更名爲北京農業工程大學。1995 Beijing Agricultural University and Beijing Agriculture Engineering University merged to fiorm China Agricultural University.
1995年北京農業大學與北京農業工程大學合併成立中國農業大學。
