Moon Cakes
月餅Celebrations are held at night with moon cakes playing a predominant role. These are small round tarts baked with different fruit fillings—date, pear,apple and pomegranate among others. People used to lay out a feast with good wine. When the moon was rising in a clear sky ,they would place the moon cakes and fresh fruit on a table as an offering. Even today a family will sit around the table, enjoying the beautiful moon and eating moon cakes and fruit. Those who are away from home try to return for a family reunion, giving the occasion its other name—Family Reunion Festival.
在晚上慶祝活動，月餅發揮主導作用。這些是用小圓蛋撻和不同的水果餡，梨，蘋果，石榴等等包着。人們習慣用好的葡萄酒擺盛宴。當月亮在晴朗的天空升起，他們將月餅和新鮮水果擺在桌子上使其成爲供品。即使先進一家人會坐在桌旁，享受着美麗的月亮，吃月餅和水果。這些離家的人試圖返回與家人團聚，給這個場合取個名字--家庭團聚日。
