伊朗總統:芳齡二八宜結婚

Following a rise in the legal minimum age for girls to marry in Iran from nine to 15 in 2004, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad suggested the best age is between 16 and 18 to improve his popularity。

"The best age for marriage is between 16 to 18 for girls and 19 to 21 for boys,” Ahmadinejad said. Analysts saw the move as a deliberate ploy to attract support from young people, many of whom are concerned about being made to marry at an early age。

"We have a parliamentary election in 2012 and hardliners want to win young people's votes in order to win the assembly vote," said an Iranian political analyst who asked not to be named。

The authorities have been encouraging marriage as a way to fight what they call the "spread of immorality among youth"。

英國《每日郵報》22日報道稱，繼2004年伊朗將女子最低法定婚齡從9歲上升至15歲後，伊朗總統艾哈邁迪-內賈德爲提升人氣再次提出口號，稱女子最佳結婚年齡應該在16歲到18歲之間。

“女孩子結婚的最佳年齡應該是16歲到18歲，男孩子則是19歲到21歲，”內賈德說道。分析人士稱此乃吸引年輕人支持率的策略之舉，因爲許多伊朗年輕人擔心自己小小年紀便被迫結婚。

“我們在2012年將舉行國會選舉，強硬派想通過贏得年輕人的選票來提升自己的支持率，”一位不想透露姓名的伊朗政治分析人士說道。

此前，官方鼓勵婚姻，藉此遏制“不道德行爲在年輕人中間蔓延”。
