Last week, the Palace revealed that Prince George will be starting at Thomas's school in Battersea in September.

The news came as a surprise as many believed the little prince would follow in his father's footsteps and attend Wetherby Pre-preparatory in Notting Hill.

So how much will George's first uniform cost? A list on the school's website boasts 24 items totalling to a huge 370 pounds.

For daily school life, George will require a navy jacket, polo neck and shorts. In the summer, he will be allowed to swap a jumper for a short-sleeved shirt and white sun hat.

Less essential items are also on the list. A 30 pounds art smock is needed for potentially messy arts and crafts lessons while ballet shoes are required for dance lessons from the Royal Academy of Dance.
