particular 這個特別，更多的是，說話人主觀的一個強調，更多的強調“這單獨的一個”，至於這一個是不是根其他的相比很不同，可能是，也可能不是，如：
I'm particularly interested in her，cus she's so special. 我對她特別有興趣，因爲她太與衆不同了。

當然，這種區別也不絕對，你也可能會說：She's my special one. 她是我的那個特別的一個。 這很可能是在強調自己的感受，不過，這句話的重音和意思強調都應該在 my 而不是special, 而且，也是說，在我眼裏，她和其他人不同。
