元音/æ/, /e/和/ei/

正確發音小技巧
/æ/的嘴形最寬，發這個音時，儘量拉寬嘴形。

/e/的嘴形窄於/æ/，寬度相當於咬住手指的厚度。

/ei/是個雙元音，聲音較前兩個音較長，發這個音時，先發了/e/的音，然後過渡到/i/，這個音的嘴形最扁。

脣舌訓練：
I will send a bad bed to your basement tomorrow, hope it's not late.
/e/ /æ/ /e/ /ei/ /ei/
I want to say that I'm terribly sad about what I said last night.
/ei/ /e/ /æ/ /e/
The latter letter never comes late.
/æ/ /e/ /e/ /ei/
I hate wearing a hat on my head, it feels bad.
/ei/ /æ/ /e/ /æ/
We aim to empty the plate, and then put some apples in it.
/ei/ /e/ /ei/ /e/ /æ/

單詞中字母的發音規律
一般發/æ/音的字母 a marry, fast(美式發音), last(美式發音), happy, cab
一般發/e/音的字母 e terribly, never, then, next, red
ea bread, meant, dead
eo jeopardize,
ie friend,
一般發/ei/音的字母 a cake, strange, gate, blame, take
ai mail, grain, tail, plain
ay play, May, pray, say
eigh eight, weigh
ey they, obey

請注意： 單詞的最後三個字母是：“a + 某個輔音 + e”這種情況下，字母“a”的發音規則是，它會發成/ei/這個音，如cake, gate, fate, blame, take等。

Be Grateful 感恩的態度
Be grateful simply for being alive.
/ei/
爲活着而心存感激。

When you are grateful for life, pure and simple,

your life becomes one you can be grateful for.

你的生活也變得更有意義。

That may strike you as circular or even backward logic,
/æ/ /ei/ /æ/ /æ/
感恩與生活是一種循環，相互影響的邏輯關係，

but your attitude does have an effect on how things work out.

但是你的態度實質性地影響着你的生活。

When you can't change your life any other way,
/e/ /æ/ /ei/ /e/
當你無法改變你的生活時，

you can still change your attitude.
/æ/ /ei/ /æ/
你仍然可以改變你的態度。

When you do, your life changes.
/e/ /ei/
當改變態度時，你的生活也會隨之改變。

You find more chances to love,
/æ/
你將發現更多的機會去愛，

and you will be surprised to see how much more love is returned to you.

你也會驚訝地看到有多少愛回到你身邊。
