正確發音小技巧
/l/有兩個音，一個是清晰音，出現在元音前，發音時舌前向硬鄂擡起，舌尖輕觸上齒齦後部，氣流由舌的一側或兩側泄出，如“lake”這個單詞中字母/l/的發音。另一個是模糊音，出現在輔音前或詞尾，舌前下陷，舌後下擡，舌面成凹槽形，如“pensile”這個單詞中字母/l/的發音。
/r/舌尖捲起，處於上齒齦後部和硬顎之間，這是個捲舌音。
發這兩個音的關鍵是： 嘴巴張開，舌頭向上卷。 區別是：/r/的上卷幅度比/l/大，嘴形比/l/小。這兩個音都是濁輔音。

單詞中字母的發音規律:
一般發/l/的字母 l love, lady, girl, world
ll tell, challenge, wall, smell
一般發/r/的字母 r river, red, grass, regret
rr tomorrow, arrive, barrel
wr wrinkle, write, wrist
請注意：美音和英音的一個最大的區別就是在捲舌音/r/上，單詞以字母“r”結尾時，美音都發把這個字母發成一個捲舌音/r/，而英音對這個字母則不發音。如：river, writer, sister, star, or, paper, water, number, fair, tour, teacher, tear，flower等等。另外，有些單詞中字母“r”並不在結尾，在英音中是不發音的，在美音中也會發出捲舌音來，如girl, world, there, share, sure, arm, hurt等等。
