迷信外婆對孫女又烤又淹就爲除魔
Sylvenie Thessier, 71, of Queens, NY, was sentenced to three years in jail after pleading guilty to reckless endangerment. The grandmother, along with the child’s mother, Marie Lauradin, severelyburned her 6-year-old granddaughter, Frantzcia, during a voodoo ritualattempting to rid the girl of evil spirits.
住在紐約皇后區的71歲老嫗Sylvenie Thessier因魯莽傷害罪名成立被判入獄3年。這位祖母連同孫女的親生母親Marie Lauradin一起，爲幫6歲的孫女Frantzcia除魔將其置於火上導致嚴重燒傷。
Prosecutors say Marie sprayed her daughter with rum and set her on fire in June 2009 because she believed the child was possessed by evil.
檢察官說2009年6月（孩子的母親）Marie給孩子全身抹上朗姆酒，並將她放到火上。
After the ritual, Sylvenie doused her granddaughter with water to extinguish the flames and then put her to bed without seeking any medical help.

The judge, Justice Richard Buchter told Sylvenie at her hearing, “That child deserved to be cared for and deserved to have her wounds treated.”
Richard Buchter法官在審訊時跟Sylvenie說，“孩子應當要到良好的照顧，在受傷後傷口應該得到治療。”
Marie, the girl’s mother, is scheduled to head to trialfor charges of assault and endangering the welfare of a minor.
這個小女孩的母親Marie也將因爲侵犯和危害未成年人安全受到審訊。
