如何用英語委婉提建議？
日常生活中，我們離不開聽取他人的意見，也常常會給別人提建議。今天來學習如何用英語委婉提建議。
1. I think you should…
“我認爲你應該做某事”，這就是很直接的提建議的方式。
I think you should exercise more.
我認爲你應該多運動運動。
I think you should raise your sights. You're underestimating yourself.
我認爲你應該有遠大志向，你過於低估自己了。
2. I don't know if…is a good idea.
當你使用這個表達時，你的語氣是比較消極的。也就是說，其實你並不覺得這是個好主意。
Josh, I don't know if that's a good idea.
喬希，我可不知道這是不是個好主意。
I don't know if taking a year off work is a good idea.
我不知道休假一年是不是個好主意。
3. Maybe you should try…
和上一個表達不同，當你說“也許你該試着做某事”的時候，語氣是很積極的，你在鼓勵別人去嘗試。
Maybe you should try studying a new skill.
也許你應該試着學習一項新技能。
Maybe you should try harder, but not live on your name.
也許你應該更努力，而不能靠名聲過日子。
4. I wouldn't…
would可以用作勸告，一般用在I後面。當你說這句話的時候，你的態度還是比較堅決的。
I wouldn't (= I advise you not to) worry about it, if I were you.
如果我是你，我就不會爲它擔心。
I wouldn't be saying this unless I were sure of the facts.
要是我對這些事情沒有把握，我就不說這話了。
5. If I were you, I would…
大家有沒有聽過Beyonce的那首If I Were A Boy：
If I were a boy, I would turn off my phone.如果我是個男生，我可以關掉手機。
我們日常也會這麼說，“如果我是你，我會怎樣想怎麼做”。
If I were you, I would have a try.
我要是你，我就試一試。
If I were you, I would follow his advice.
我要是你，我就聽從他的建議。
6. My advice is to…
這個建議就很直接了，直接說出自己的建議！
He's a bit of a bully and my advice is to have nothing to do with him.
他有點霸道，因而我的意見是不要和他交往。
7. You ought to…
這種提建議的方法比較正式，或許你對should更熟悉，不過很多人會用ought。
You ought to respect his opinions more.
你應該更加重視他的意見。
如果是口語裏，可以用oughta，它等於ought to。
You oughta go earlier.
你應該早點兒去。
當然，日常交流中，我們也可以使用疑問句來給予他人反饋。
8. Why don't you…?
Why don't you wear shoes with high heels?
爲什麼你不穿高跟鞋呢？
Why don't you write out a speech and get it by heart?
你爲什麼不寫份講稿，然後把它背下來？
9. Have you tried…?
Have you tried talking to them?
你試着和他們談過嗎?

這種表達較多用於比較嚴肅的場合。
Have you thought about what job you are going to do?
