“busybody” 怎麼理解?

busybody 可不是“大忙人”意思，而是 a person who is too interested in things that do not involve them，也就是“愛管閒事的人、多事者”。喜歡四處摻和，到處打聽八卦的人，可不是天天都“忙忙碌碌”的嘛
舉個例子
Some interfering busybody had rung the police.
某個好事者打電話叫來了警察。
“interfering” 怎麼理解?

形容某人“愛管閒事的”，你還可以用 interfering 這個單詞。
An interfering person gets involved in other people's lives in an unwanted and annoying way.
一個愛管閒事的人會以一種令人討厭的方式介入他人的生活。interfering 指已經做出了干擾或插手的事。
舉個例子
He's an interfering old busybody - who I go out with is none of his business!
他是個愛管閒事的老東西——我跟誰約會與他何干!
Interfering busybody 也算是雙重強調了，語氣更加強烈!另：interfere 是動詞，意思是“干涉，干預”。
“nosy” 怎麼理解?

如果一個人 too interested in what other people are doing and wanting to discover too much about them，那你就可以說他是個 nosy person。
nosy 就是指“好管閒事的;愛打聽的”。
舉個例子
She was complaining about her nosy parents.
她在抱怨她父母愛管閒事。
“meddle” 怎麼理解?

meddle 與 interfere 的意思相近，意思是“干涉，干預;管閒事”。
Try to change or have an influence on things that are not your responsibility, especially by criticizing in a damaging or annoying way.
嘗試改變或影響那些跟你無關、不是你的責任的事，尤其是用那種破壞性極強或很煩人的挑剔指責的方式去幹預。meddle的結果顯然會造成一些不太好的影響。
常用的短語有“meddle in something” 和 “meddle with someone or something”。
當然，你也可以用 meddle+r=meddler 來指“愛管閒事的人”。
舉個例子
My sister's always meddling in other people's affairs.
我姐姐總是管別人的閒事。
People shouldn't meddle with things they don't understand.
自己不懂的事情，就不該去摻和。

A mother hen 並不是愛管閒事的人，而是保護者，是“關心他人的人” ，是 a person who looks out for the welfare of others, especially to a fussy, intrusive, or overprotective degree，關心他人幸福，只不過有時會有些過度挑剔、干涉，過度保護，就像一隻戰鬥力爆表的保護小雞的母雞一樣。
舉個例子
Jenny can be a bit of a mother hen when we're out at the bars. I wish she would just relax a little and let us have a good time!
我們去酒吧的時候，珍妮有點保護過度。我希望她能放鬆一點，讓我們玩得嗨一點!
