臺灣Hello Kitty列車首航 枕巾被偷328條

A Hello Kitty-themed Taroko Express train made its inaugural run in Taiwan last Monday.

臺灣一趟以Hello Kitty爲主題的太魯閣號列車於上週一首次運行。

The train has make its first run on a round trip from Taipei to Taitung, according to the Taiwan Railways Administration.

根據來自臺灣鐵路局的消息，這列火車首次運行路線是從從臺北到臺東的往返。

The design concept of the Hello Kitty train is "To connect world and Taiwan with Hello Kitty". The 8 carriage are designed as Taiwan, Asia, Oceania, Europe, Africa, America and North and South pole, and then back to Taiwan.

Hello Kitty彩繪列車以“跟着Hello Kitty連結臺灣與世界”爲設計理念，8節車廂設計成由臺灣出發，周遊亞洲、大洋洲、歐洲、非洲、美洲、南北極後，再回到臺灣。

The train was installed with a total of 376 headrest covers with Hello Kitty patterns printed on them. But when the train finished its round trip from Taipei to Taitung on Monday, the train attendants found that all but 48 headrest covers were stolen.

該列車共配有376條印有Hello Kitty圖案的枕巾。而列車當天完成從臺北至臺東的往返運行時，乘務員發現只剩下48條枕巾，其餘全部被偷。

Each headrest cover cost some NT$50. The estimated loss totaled about NT$16,000.

每條枕巾的成本約爲新臺幣50元。據估計，此次損失約爲1.6萬新臺幣。

The train company said it prepared 120 extra covers just in case but did not expect that 328 pieces, or more than 87%, would be stolen on the train's maiden trip.

鐵路公司表示多準備了120條枕巾備用，但沒想到列車首航會有328條(超87%)枕巾被盜。
