A man in East China's Jiangxi Province faces murder charges for fatally stabbing his 15-year-old son in an argument that escalated after the teen refused to stop playing video games and come to the dinner table.

中國東部江西省一名男子，因在一次爭吵中刺死了15歲的兒子而面臨謀殺指控，事發前該青少年拒絕停止玩遊戲去吃晚飯。

Police said the teen had been stabbed with a kitchen knife during an argument with his father, surnamed Guo, at their home in Shangrao county on March 22.

警方表示，3月22日，在上饒縣的家中，這個青少年在與他的父親郭某爭吵時被一把菜刀刺中。

The teen died on the way to hospital. Guo turned himself in to local police and is in custody.

這個青少年在去往醫院的路上死亡。郭某隨後向當地警方自首，並被監禁。

Tempers flared when the teen kept refusing his father's calls to dinner while playing computer games in their second-floor study.

當該青少年在二樓的書房打遊戲並不斷拒絕其父叫他吃晚飯時，他父親的怒火終於爆發了。

The boy's gaming habits had sparked family disagreements in the past, said the victim's mother surnamed Jiang. Jiang suffered injuries trying to keep Guo away from her son, media reported.

受害者的母親蔣某表示，兒子打遊戲的習慣曾引起過家庭不和。據媒體報道，蔣某在試圖讓郭某遠離兒子時受了傷。

Guo was suspected to have taken drugs soon before the incident occurred. He later failed a urine drug test, police said.

據警方表示，郭某在事發前不久疑似吸食過毒品，經尿檢呈陽性。
