魯尼宣佈年退出國家隊 盼世界盃奪冠

England captain Wayne Rooney said last Tuesday he will end his England career after the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

英格蘭足球隊隊長韋恩·魯尼上週二表示，自己將在2018年俄羅斯世界盃後退出英格蘭隊。

The 30-year-old Manchester United striker told reporters: "Come Russia I feel that will be the time to say goodbye to international football. My mind is made up."

這位現年30歲的曼徹斯特聯隊前鋒向記者表示："我覺得俄羅斯世界盃舉辦之際將是我告別國際足壇之時，我已下定決心。"

Rooney, who has scored 53 goals in 115 England appearances, said, "I started playing professional football when I was 16, and started playing internationals when I was 17. Fifteen years is a lot."

魯尼曾代表英格蘭隊出場115次，打進53球。魯尼說："我從16歲開始踢職業足球，17歲開始參加國際賽事。15年夠久了。"

"Russia will be my last opportunity to do anything with England so I'm going to try to enjoy these two years and hopefully I can end my time with England on a high," he added.

魯尼還稱："俄羅斯世界盃將是我爲英格蘭隊效力的最後機會，所以我會努力享受這兩年，並且希望我能以英格蘭奪冠結束自己的國家隊生涯。"

Captain since August 2014, Rooney is also England's record goal-scorer with 53 goals.

魯尼從2014年8月起開始擔任隊長，並且憑藉53粒進球，創造了英格蘭隊球員的進球記錄。

But in six major tournament appearances with England, he has never gone further than the quarter-finals.
