各種 loop, 你在圈裏嗎？

 在外企工作的人，接發郵件時候，常常碰到一個短語，類似 keep me in the loop. 那麼，你知道這是什麼意思嗎？ loop 最基本的意思是 “圓環” “圓圈”，A loop is a curved or circular shape in something long, for example in a piece of string. 這個詞引申的意思是 “閉環，環線”，比如： 

closed loop

閉環，閉合環路

loop control

循環控制

loop system

環形系統，環狀管網

 而在職場上，in the loop, out of the loop 是非常常見的短語。所謂“在圈子內” “不在圈子裏” 在商務語言中，意思是“在……局內”，“是……局外人”。 只有in the loop的人，才知道某些消息，知道某些決定。所以大家都會在郵件中寫一句 keep me in the loop， 意思是 “讓我成爲局內人，瞭解XX進展”。 再比如： 

I think that the vice president was in the loop.

我認爲副總統是局內人。

 

These activists don't want to feel out of the loop.

 

這些活躍分子不想做局外人。
