旅遊常用口語：乘出租車實用對話

taxi 的出處頗有淵源。早在18世紀，如果一個富有的英國人想進行一次短途旅遊，他往往會僱用一輛單馬雙輪輕便車(cabriolet)。Cabriolet一詞來源於一個法語動詞，意思是“跳躍”。到了19世紀，人們開始用這個單詞的縮略形式“cab”來指城市中專供出租的大型馬車，今天我們常說的搭乘出租車(catching a cab)就是由此而來的。
