I live in a beautiful and peaceful area and most of my neighbours are kind, benevolent and well-mannered. Among them, I would pick Mr Patrick as a very good neighbour I have. He is an Engineer and works for a large engineering and manufacturing company. He is married and has four children.

He lives with his family only three blocks away from our house. He moved in our community 5-6 years ago and in this sense he is my neighbour for the last 5-6 years.

He is very amiable and talented person. He speaks very kindly with everybody and with children and senior citizen he behaves very mildly no matter what. I have seen his research papers been published in a reputed science and engineering journal and he is a renowned engineer in our town. In his career life, he is a successful Engineer and in his personal life he is a good human, dotting father and caring husband. He obeys the rules and regulation of our community very strictly and because of that, everyone in our community likes him.

I like him very much because of his kind and benevolent attitude and cordial behaviour. He helps poor people and also boldly protests any discrimination and injustice he notices. His talent, fame and successful career have not made him a proud person. Rather he has become a kind and good hearted man over time. In our community, most of the people like him and he is, in my opinion, a neighbour anyone would expect to have.

What this person likes to do

And explain why you think this neighbor is interesting

Mr. Andrew John ( a common name of your country...) is one of the neighbours whom I like very much. Since I live in an urban area, people are close to each other and maintain a strong neighbourhood relationship unlike the metropolitan area.

In our neighbor, we know almost each and every people living there, what they do, what are their updates, what are their profession and their overall personality and characteristics as well. Mr. John's house is adjacent to ours and I meet him almost every day. Mr. John is a retired army person who is now around 50 years old. He lives in his house alone and I have never found his relatives visiting him except some old colleagues. He stays inside his house most of the time and in the evening he sits in the veranda. He is a quiet man and likes to read a lot. I have seen him coming to live in his house almost 5-6 years ago. He bought the house from our previous neighbour.

I had had several conversations with him and I often play chess with him. I like to read as well and our reading habit was the primary reason we started liking our accompany each other. I like and admire this man very much. Though at first impression he seems to be an arrogant person, but in reality he is an intelligent, calm, good-hearted and charming man. I have heard lots of stories from him. He has travelled to many different places and has lots of experience. Since I have become close to him, he refer me books that I mostly enjoy reading. He advises me whenever I seek for his guidance. He is sometimes a close friend, sometimes a mentor and sometimes a guardian. I like him because of our unclaimed friendship, his personality, honestly, morality and his great mind.

Describe an interesting neighbour of yours

You should say:

Who the person is

How did you know this person

And explain why you think this neighbour is interesting

2.主題:Mr. Adalric

I live in Stuttgart in Germany and accompany my parents in a medium-size apartment. I have a neighbour named Mr. Adalric who lives in the next door of us.

Mr. Adalric is a highly extrovert man with the look of an adventurer. He is around six feet in height and loves to be casual always in his attires. I have never seen him wearing any formal clothes even when he attends his office. But he is cautious about his hair and regularly combs them with a small hair comb which he keeps always in his pocket. Moreover, Mr. Adalric is fond of kids as he does not have any kid. However, he is a jolly person with a deep voice and helpful too in many aspects.

I like Mr. Adalric much for his benevolence behaviour and his extrovert nature. He likes meeting newer people and most of the time I see him talking with people whom he has never met before and once he told me that it is a hobby for him to get familiar with the unfamiliar people in his surroundings. Besides, he is the person who understands the almost every situation and comes to offer help without any conditions. He has helped me too in some of the situations and particularly in my study. Whenever he comes to visit us, he asks about my study and if I am in trouble with any of my subjects, especially English, he provides me the directives to study and in some cases makes the texts and issues clear to me.

Well, there's this guy living next door who is drop-dead handsome. Sadly, I'd never had the chance to strike up a conversation with him.

But one day, I forgot my keys at home, so after school, I just stood outside of my apartment, playing with my phone, 'cause at that time, my parents were still at work, I'd got nowhere else to go.

At this time, the handsome neighbor I just mentioned earlier came back. To my surprise,he recognized me, and after he realized what was happening, he even invited me to his place. I did not expect that, but I was thrilled, 'cause you know, I finally got the chance to get to know him.

At first, he struck me as a quiet, indoor person, I mean, I'd never seen him talking to other neighbors, and sometimes he would just disappear for a few days, I just assumed that he stayed at home all this time. However, it turned out I was wrong, I saw a wall full of pictures he took from countless countries, so he's not an indoor person at all, if anything, he's a big fan of travelling. And he has really seen the world.

That day, I asked him a bunch of questions about the pictures he took. I have to say, he's a person with a great taste. He's not an artist, but the way he dresses and the style of his photos are just awesome.

And he shared his fascinating experiences along the road with me, which is truly an eye-opener.

So it's fair to say, he's such an interesting person.

So you see, he's got an amazing life, and compared to his lifestyle, mine was so monotonous. I just want to tell myself, get a life, you know. So maybe that's why I want to know more about him, he's just an interesting person that I wanna be friends with.
