解詞釋義

當對方免費給你好處的時候，英美人會反問：“What is the catch?”這其中的catch是名詞，意思是“詭計，潛在的困難或不利因素”。例如：The house is very cheap. There must be a catch somewhere.（這所房子非常便宜，這裏面一定有蹊蹺。）“What is the catch?”譯爲“有什麼詭計？”也可翻譯爲“有什麼內幕？”或“你這是什麼意思？”

Ps 1: 表示“有職位空缺”，可以用下面的句型：There is a vacancy for sb.例如：

I would like to know if there is a vacancy for the sales manager in your hotel.
