講解：詞語盛行於19世紀以後，但卻出自於15世紀-16世紀，海盜活動猖獗的時候。相傳海盜面目猙獰，手持兇器，牙齒間還咬着一把把尖刀。爲形象生動，漢語中把它翻譯爲“武裝到牙齒”，喻指全副武裝。
