►at the eleventh hour 一天被劃分成二十四個小時，這裏指一晝夜的最後一小時，表達的意思就是：在最後時刻(或關頭)，在危急之時，在還來得及的時刻

你太會拍馬屁了吧。
►lay it on with a trowel 擡舉，竭力恭維，過分誇獎，肉麻吹捧

她開始施展魅力攻勢。
►charm offensive （討好對手等的）魅力攻勢。帶有一點貶義色彩。
7. Don’t let success go to your head.
不要讓勝利衝昏了頭腦。
►go to one's head 衝昏頭腦；使自負，得意洋洋。
字面上看是通向，延伸到某人的頭部。可以這樣理解：一個人在獲得成功勝利或某種地位時，這種優越往往會爬到頭頂，衝昏了大腦。

9. That’s a special pleading.
那是強詞奪理。
►special pleading (只提有利於自己的事實的)詭辯法，特殊辯解
