國家旅遊局稱所有5A景區都應設置'第三衛生間'

China National Tourism Administration has urged the country's 5A-class scenic spots to install gender-neutral bathrooms.

國家旅遊局近日敦促國內5A級旅遊景區安裝"第三衛生間"。

Parents assisting young children of different genders and children assisting elderly parents of different genders will not feel embarrassed or embarrass others when using bathroom.

有了第三衛生間，母親協助小男孩、父親協助小女孩、女兒協助年邁父親、兒子協助年邁母親如廁時就不會令自己或他人感到尷尬。

The country will also install new high-tech toilets and promote the commercialization of toilet facilities, said Li Jinzao, head of the administration.

據國家旅遊局局長李金早介紹，我國還將新建高科技廁所並推進廁所設施的商業化。

China has made steady progress to improve toilet sanitation nationwide since the "toilet revolution" began in 2015, Li said.

李金早表示，自2015年啓動“廁所革命”以來，全國在改善廁所衛生狀況方面取得穩定進展。

A total of 50,916 toilets have been installed or upgraded so far, which is 89.33% of the target the government announced for the three years through to 2017.

截至目前爲止，我國已新建、改建廁所50916座，佔政府宣佈在2017年底前實現的三年目標的89.33%。
