而西班牙也有自己獨家的起泡酒，他們的特產叫“卡哇酒”cava

Cava is a sparkling wine of Denominación de Origen (DO) status from Spain. It may be white or rosé. Only wines produced in the traditional method may be labelled "cava"; those produced by other processes may only be called "sparkling wines" (vinos espumosos). About 95% of all cava is produced in the Penedès area in Spain, with the village of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia being home to many of Spain's largest production houses.

卡哇酒是西班牙的一種原產地認證起泡酒，有白的，也有粉紅的。只有用傳統手法生產的這種酒可以打上“卡哇酒”的標籤，其他手段生產的只能叫“起泡酒”（vinos espumosos）。大約95%的卡哇酒都是在西班牙的佩內德斯生產的，西班牙最大的卡哇酒場裏有很多都在阿諾依亞的聖薩杜尼村。
