智能手機銷售強勁 三星電子營業利潤創兩年來新高

Strong smartphone sales have helped Samsung Electronics post its best quarterly results in more than two years.

憑藉強勁的智能手機銷售，三星電子公司日前獲得了兩年多以來最高的季度利潤。

Second-quarter operating profit jumped 18% to 8.1tn Korean won ($7.17bn; 5.46bn pound), in line with the company's guidance issued in July. Operating profit at its mobile division soared 27% year-on-year to 4.3tn won.

根據三星公司7月份發佈的一份指導文件顯示，該公司第二季度營業利潤爲8.1萬億韓元（約合71.7億美元，54.6億英鎊），大漲了18%。手機部門營業利潤同比去年飆升了27%，到達了4.3萬億韓元。

That is mainly driven by strong sales of its Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone models.

這一現象的主要原因是三星Galaxy S7和Galaxy S7 Edge兩款只能手機的強勁銷售。

Samsung predicts continued increase in demand for its smartphones and tablets in the second half of the year. But the company also indicated that "market competition is expected to strengthen as other companies release new mobile devices".

據三星預測，今年下半年對其手機和平板電腦的需求還會持續增長。但是該公司也表明，“由於其他公司也發佈了新款手機，市場競爭將會增強。”

Samsung is confident that the release of a new large-screen flagship smartphone in the third quarter will help maintain the track record of its smartphone sales.

三星對在今年第三季度發行一款最新寬屏旗艦智能手機很有自信，而且該公司相信，這款手機將會幫助他們保持智能手機銷售記錄。

Samsung's results are in contrast to rival Apple. Earlier this week, the US company reported a 15% drop in iPhone sales for the April-to-June quarter. And it also said it expected sales to fall again in the current quarter.

和三星驕人的業績相比，競爭對手蘋果就顯得很慘淡了。本週早些時候，這家美國公司報告稱，第二財季iPhone的銷售額下跌了15%。而且蘋果表示，他們預測第三財季的銷售額還會再次下降。

As for other divisions in the Samsung conglomerate, the company is forecasting a decline in TV demand for the second half of the year, citing "weakened demand in Europe and a prolonged economic slowdown in emerging markets".

至於集團的其他部門，三星公司預計今年下半年對電視的需求將會下降，理由是“歐洲的需求減弱，以及新興市場的經濟長期低迷”。
