騰訊宣佈獲ESPN中國大陸地區獨家內容資源

ESPN, the sports arm of Disney, has struck a major strategic deal with online giant Tencent. The agreement will see ESPN content localized and exclusively distributed in China via Tencent's digital platforms.

近日,迪士尼旗下體育頻道ESPN與中國互聯網巨頭騰訊簽署重大戰略協議。該協議將會使得ESPN的內容本地化,並且將會在中國通過騰訊這一數字平臺得到全方位覆蓋。

The two companies will also collaborate on content for Tencent's media platforms, which include QQ and WeChat (Weixin).

這兩家公司還會將合作的內容覆蓋至包括QQ和微信在內的騰訊社交媒體平臺

Beginning with the 2016 NBA Playoffs, ESPN experts will be on-site at five games per week to provide exclusive, live Chinese-language analysis as part of Tencent's NBA coverage, according to the deal. Tencent will also license from ESPN the exclusive, live digital rights in the Chinese mainland to the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship Tournament and the X Games.

根據協議,自2016年NBA季後賽開始,ESPN專家每週將在現場坐鎮5場比賽,提供獨家、實時中文分析,作爲騰訊NBA報道的一部分。此外,騰訊還將獲得ESPN的獨家許可,在中國內地擁有全美大學體育協會男子籃球錦標賽和極限賽事X Games的實況數字版權。

"Tencent boasts a huge pool of users. Every day, hundreds of millions of people watch streamed sports games and read sports news on Tencent," said SY Lau, senior executive VP of Tencent and president of its Online Media Group. "This relationship with ESPN will accelerate Tencent's development as a comprehensive and professional digital platform and set benchmarks for the Chinese sports media sector."

騰訊集團高級執行副總裁、網絡媒體事業羣總裁劉勝義表示:“騰訊在中國擁有強大的體育用戶基礎,每天都有數以億計的用戶通過騰訊的平臺觀看體育賽事並獲取新聞資訊。和ESPN公司進行合作能夠使得騰訊發展成具有豐富性、專業性的數字平臺,也將給中國體育行業樹立一個新的標杆。”

"This agreement will help us serve millions of Chinese fans and bring our coverage of basketball, international soccer and other sports to them like never before," said Russell Wolff, executive VP, ESPN International.

ESPN國際部執行副總裁沃爾夫-羅素說道:“這一合作將幫助我們爲數百萬的中國粉絲提供更好地服務,還讓中國粉絲看到更多前所未見的籃球、足球精彩賽事。”
