education的用法和搭配問題

education：the activities of educating or instructing or teaching; activities that impart knowledge or skill;教育或指導或教學活動;活動的影響

　　1. 表示“教育”，作爲抽象名詞，一般不可數。如：

My parents both work in education. 我父母都從事教育工作。

Some films combine education with recreation. 有些電影把教育和娛樂結合在一起。

但是，若指某一種教育或一段教育，則可以連用不定冠詞。如：

A good education is expensive. 受良好教育的費用很高。

She gave her child a first-rate education. 她給了她孩子一流的教育。

　　2. 表示“接受禮物”，英語用 accept 不用 receive, 但是表示“接受教育”，英語通常是用 receive 而不用 accept。如：

A child receives its early education at home. 幼兒在家接受早期教育。

He was fortunate enough to receive a college education. 他有幸受過大學教育。

　　3.“高等教育”說成英語是 higher education, 而不能是 high education。如：

The government’s policy on higher education is a success. 政府的高等教育政策很成功。
