[誤] The air in this low-ceilinged room was stuffy and oppressive.

[正] This low-ceilinged room was stuffy and oppressive.

注：雖然漢語中可以說“空氣悶”，但是在英語中，stuffy 和oppressive 等的主語不能是air，而應當是某個地方，如theatre（戲院），classrooom（教室）等名詞。

stuffy: 通風不良的;窒息的;悶熱的
a stuffy room
空氣不流通的房間

oppressive: 壓抑的;沉重的;煩悶的
oppressive heat
