Unit 17 Visiting the doctor(2)
P: Hi, my name is Randy Horn I have an appointment to see the doctor at 10:30.
病人：嗨，我是蘭迪·合恩。我和醫生約好10：30要看病。R:If you'll please take a seat, Mr. Horn, the doctor will be ready to see you shortly. ( Ten minutes later) Mr. Horn? The doctor will see you now.
接待員：請坐，合恩先生，醫生會很快看您的病。(10分鐘之後)合恩先生？醫生現在要看您的病了。
D: Hi, Randy, what seems to be the trouble?
醫生：嗨，蘭迪，哪裏不舒服呢？P: I've got a really bad sore throat and my head hurts. My muscles ache and I have no energy.
病人：我喉嚨很痛，頭也疼。我的肌肉痛，沒有力氣。D: Let me take your temperature. Let's see... 101 degrees. You're running a fever. Let me take a look at that throat. Open up and say " ah. "
醫生：讓我量一量你的體溫。我看看……101°F，你正在發燒。讓我看一看你的喉嚨，張開嘴巴說“啊”。P: Ah...(to be continued)

3. sore a. 疼痛的
4．throat n．喉嚨
have a sore throat 喉嚨痛
例：He doesn't want to go to the KTV because he has a sore throat.
（他不想去KTV唱歌因爲他喉嚨痛。）
5．hurt vi. 疼痛
動詞三種時態均爲hurt。
例：John spent all day yesterday walking around town, so today his legs hurt.
（約翰昨天一整天都在城裏四處蹈踺，因此他的腿今天感到疼痛。）
6．ache vi. 疼痛
例：You ate too much at dinner; it's no wonder your stomach aches.
（你晚餐吃太多了，難怪你胃痛。）
7．take one's temperature 量某人體溫
例：The mother took her daughter's temperature.
（那位媽媽量女兒的體溫。）
8．run/have a fever 發燒
例：The patient has a fever of 39 0C.
（那病人發燒達39℃。）
9．take a look at... 看一看……
例：Come here and take a look at this weird bug.
（過來看這隻奇怪的蟲。）
