今天的課程是應一位學員的要求，講講“even if”的用法：

Even: adj.平的, 平坦的；均勻的; 有規律的; 穩定的；相等的, 均衡的；雙數的, 偶數的

In the end we arrived at the even ground at the top of the mountain. 最後我們登上了山頂上的平地。

He tried to keep his voice even. 他盡力使自己的聲音保持平靜。

Our scores are now even. 我們得分現在相等。

We’re even now. 我們扯平了。

Even: adv. 甚至, 即使；更加, 愈加

He never even bothered to acknowledge her presence. 他甚至對她的在場未予理會。

Even a child can answer it. 甚至連小孩都能回答這個問題。

You seem even more beautiful than usual today. 你今天好像比平時更漂亮。

Even if: 即使, 縱然(條件假設句)， 在“if”後放一個陳述句：

I wouldn't lose courage even if I should fail ten times. 即使要失敗十次，我也絕不灰心。

We should practice economy even if we are rich. 即使我們富裕了也仍應該厲行節約。

Even if I have to walk all the way I'll get there. 即使一路走着去，我也得趕到那裏。

Even if I miss the meeting, what of it? 即使我不出席這次會議，那又怎樣呢？

Stop it; try to act naturally, even if you're tense. 別做作了，即使緊張也不要這樣嘛。
