得州暴雪斷水斷電！官方發通知：水要燒開了喝，市民：沒電怎麼燒水?
本週，一場史無前例的暴風雪席捲了美國多地，據外媒報道，極寒天氣已造成至少37人死亡，大部分來自得克薩斯州。

Hundreds of thousands in the state remained without power on Thursday, trying their best to stay warm and dry as burst pipes flood homes. Millions who got their lights back on were also dealing with water and other issues.

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo said on MSNBC that the majority of her community, which includes Houston, is under a water boil notice, "but they don't have power to boil the water."

據外媒報道，當得州數百萬居民在暴風雪中忍受着斷電斷水無供暖的生活時，該州一名市長卻在臉書上發帖說，政府不欠你們的，“只有強者才能生存，弱者就該死去。”他隨後辭去市長一職。
當地時間16日，得州科羅拉多市前市長蒂姆·博伊德（Tim Boyd）發了一篇錯字連篇的臉書貼文：
As then-mayor of Colorado City, Tim Boyd wrote an insensitive message for people desperate for heat, water and power, saying "only the strong will survive and the weak will [perish.]"
作爲科羅拉多市前市長，蒂姆·博伊德寫了一條冷酷無情的貼文，對亟需水電暖氣供應的居民說，“只有強者才能生存，弱者將會死去。”
"No one owes you [or] your family anything; nor is it the local government's responsibility to support you during trying times like this!" he said. "Sink or swim it's your choice! The City and County, along with power providers or any other service owes you NOTHING! I'm sick and tired of people looking for a damn handout."
