英國年齡最大雙胞胎慶祝101歲生日 點蠟燭時險失火

Britain's oldest twins - Irene Crump and Phyllis Jones - recently celebrated their milestone birthday - but their celebrations nearly went up in smoke when they lit 101 candles on their birthday cakes.

英國最年長雙胞胎艾琳·克倫普和菲利斯·瓊斯近日慶祝了她們人生中里程牌式的生日，但當點燃生日蛋糕上的101支蠟燭時，她們的慶祝會險些被大火吞噬。

Luckily Phylis's son Carl was on standby with a damp cloth to expel the flames.

幸好菲利斯的兒子卡爾在一旁用溼布撲滅了火焰。

"Everything was under control and I was there with a damp cloth to put it out. They both found it very funny, they had a good chuckle", said Carl.

卡爾表示：“一切都在可控制的範圍，我用一塊溼布撲滅了火。她們都覺得這件事很好笑，她們笑得很開心。”

Irene and Phyllis were born just 25 minutes apart back in 1916.

艾琳和菲利斯於1916年出生，出生時間僅相差25分鐘。

They went to the same school, shared their first job and have even lived together for the last eight years.

她們在同一所學校上學，一起做第一份工作，甚至在最近8年中都一直住在一起。

"They're totally different though - Auntie Rene, as I call her, has always been very methodical and careful but my mum just races around doing things. They have their ups and downs and their little arguments like anyone but obviously they love each other very much", said Carl.

卡爾說：“她們的性格截然不同，蕾妮阿姨一直非常有條不紊、認真謹慎，而我媽媽做事卻冒冒失失的。像其他人一樣，她們的感情也有起有落、會小吵小鬧，但顯然她們非常愛對方。”
