娜奧米·沃茨確定加盟《胡福傳》

在好萊塢傳奇影人克林特·伊斯特伍德即將開拍的新片《胡夫傳》中，原本設定將有奧斯卡影后查理茲·塞隆扮演更隨J. Edgar長達五十年之久的祕書，但由於查理茲還要接演《白雪公主與獵人》一片中扮演邪惡的皇后一角，分身乏術，無奈退出。

今天，片方正式對外宣佈，娜奧米·沃茨已確定加盟該片，演出的角色正是有小李哥萊昂納多·迪卡胡里奧所誓言的J·埃德加·胡佛的私人祕書Helen Gandy。據介紹，自1918起Helen便一直更隨着這位FBI響噹噹的強勢人物，直到胡夫在1972年去世，外界盛傳兩人關係曖昧。

同時，加盟該片的演員還有資深女星朱迪·丹奇、《緋聞女孩》的愛德·維斯特維克，影片有望於下個月開拍，並在2012年上映。 　

Though the role was once a consideration for Charlize Theron, the actress chose to take the part of the evil queen in Snow White and the Huntsman instead of a supporting role in Clint Eastwood's biopic J. Edgar. However, now we have word on what lovely actress end up taking part in the story of FBI director J. Edgar Hoover as Variety reports Naomi Watts has stepped up to fill the gap in the cast. The Australian actress will play Helen Gandy, a Justice Department file clerk who ended up being Hoover’s personal secretary. She loyally worked for Hoover starting in 1918 and stayed in that position until Hoover passed away in 1972.

Dustin Lance Black (Milk) is behind the script with Leonardo DiCaprio in the titular role as the man who founded the FBI in 1935 and is responsible for putting together an elite organization tasked with investigating and preventing the most dangerous, heinous and notorious crimes. Meanwhile an impressive cast has been assembled around them that also includes Ed Westwick ("Gossip Girl"), Damon Herriman ("Justified"), Armie Hammer (The Social Network), Josh Lucas (Glory Road) and Judi Dench (Casino Royale). Brian Grazer and Ron Howard are producing through Imagine Entertainment with Warner Bros. set to distribute the film sometime in 2012 (likely towards the end of the year for awards season). Sounds good to me.
