英國一高中禁止女生穿裙子和緊身褲

Schoolgirls have been wearing such short skirts a Staffordshire school that they’ve been ordered to wear trousers instead.

英國斯塔福德郡一所學校因爲女生穿的裙子太短，下令讓她們改穿褲子。

All skirts will be banned from September at Paget High School in Branston, Burton-upon-Trent.

從九月份起，特倫特河畔伯頓鎮布蘭斯頓的佩吉特高中將禁止女生穿任何款式的裙子。

Tight-fitting trousers will also be forbidden and Muslim head-dresses will have to be ‘school blue’ colour.

同樣不許穿的還有緊身褲，此外穆斯林的頭巾顏色必須是“校服藍”。

Head teacher Don Smith said: 'One of the big issues for us at the school has been the number of girls who have been wearing inappropriately short skirts.

校長唐 史密斯說：“學校裏最大的問題之一就是很多女生穿的裙子都短得不像話。”

'This has been an area of particular concern at a time when there has been a lot of material nationally about the sexualisationof young people.'

“這方面在現今特別受關注，因爲英國有許多方面都在慫恿年輕人‘性感化’。”

Mr Smith said it would be impractical to policethe length of girls’ skirts and said a blanketban would be easier for staff to enforce.

史密斯先生說，要管制女生裙子長度是不現實的，還是全面禁止穿裙比較方便教職工的管理。

He said: 'We did not want to arrive at a situation where we were telling girls their skirts could only be a certain number of centimetres above or below the knee.'

他說：“我們不想碰到這種局面，就是告訴女生她們的裙子只能在膝蓋上或膝蓋下幾釐米。”

The head teacher said pupils’, parents’ and other teachers’ opinions were sought before the uniform rules were changed.

校長說，在修改這一着裝規定之前，已經徵求過學生、家長和其他老師的意見。

The new clothing policy has been explained in a letter sent to parents of the school’s 1,000 pupils and will come into forceafter the summer holiday.

學校在寄給本校1000名學生的家長的信中對新着裝政策做了解釋。這一規定將在暑假結束後開始生效。

The school also wants pupils to wear clip-onties instead of traditional neckwear.

學校還想讓學生佩戴夾式領帶，而不是傳統的領帶。

This rule will be phased inover the next year and support will be given to parents unable to afford the new tie.

這條規定將在明年逐步實施，對於買不起新領帶的家長學校將提供資助。

The new uniform regimehas not been well received by everyone, however.

不過，並不是所有人都對這一新的着裝制度表示歡迎。

One parent, whose teenage daughter attends the school, said: 'I completely agree some girls were wearing skirts that were too short.

該校一位十幾歲女生的家長說：“我完全同意有些女孩穿的裙子確實太短了。

'However, I think girls should be allowed to be feminine.

“但是，我認爲應該允許女孩子有女孩子的樣兒。”

'Other schools manage to let girls wear skirts while making sure they are not inappropriately dressed.

“其他學校允許女孩子穿裙子，同時又能確保她們不會穿着不當。

'I don’t see why Paget can’t do the same.'

“我不明白爲什麼佩吉特高中不能也這麼做。”
