國內最熱詞彙出爐 王健林的'小目標'當選
Xiaomubiao －"small goal" in English－was one of the hottest phrases in China last year, according to a new set of lists released by the State Language Committee.
根據國家語言文字委員會最新公佈的名單顯示，小目標--英語中是“small goal”--是去年中國最熱門的詞彙之一。Netizens began widely using the term after Wang Jianlin, the chairman of Dalian Wanda Group, described making a fortune of 100 million yuan ($14.8 million) as a small goal in an interview in August.
大連萬達集團董事長王健林在去年8月份接受採訪時稱，把賺到1億元人民幣（約合1480萬美元）設定爲一個小目標，此後網民們就開始廣泛使用這個詞。Although he used it to mean something that is easily achieved, people on social media used it more ironically to express a goal that is well beyond their reach or even impossible.

For example, someone might write, "Let me set a small goal, such as losing 40 kilograms," or "Here's a small goal: Find a job that pays 1 million yuan a year."

Lists of popular words and phrases based on an annual assessment of characters used by Chinese-language media were released last Tuesday by the State Language Committee, the department under the State Council in charge of the nation's language reforms.
