歐洲國家藐視美國欲加入中國領導的發展銀行

France, Germany and Italy have all agreed to follow Britain's lead and join a China-led international development bank,according to European officials, delivering a blow to US efforts to keep leading western countries out of the new institution.

根據歐洲官員的說法，法國，德國以及意大利同意追隨英國的腳步加入中國領導的國際發展銀行，這對總想阻止歐洲主要國家加入該機構的美國來說是一個打擊。

The decision by the three European governments comes after Britain announced last week that it would join the $50bn Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, a potential rival to the Washington-based World Bank.

而在上週，英國宣佈將加入500億美元資金的亞洲基礎設施投資銀行，成了位於華盛頓的世界銀行的潛在競爭者。

Australia, akey US ally in the Asia-Pacific region which had come under pressure from Washington to stay out of the new bank, has also said that it will now rethinkthat position.

而美國在亞太地區的關鍵盟友澳洲也面臨美國不讓加入該機構的壓力，但是澳洲稱將重新考慮自己的立場。

The European decisions represent a significant setback for the Obama administration, which has argued the t westerncountries could have more influence over the workings of the new bank if they stayed together or the outside and pushed for higher lending standards.

歐州的決定對奧巴馬政府來說是個巨大的打擊。奧巴馬政府稱如果西方國家不加入該機構並且推行更高的借款標準的話 ,就可以對這家新銀行的操作方式產生更大的影響力。

South Korean media have reported that Seoul will also now rethink its decision not to join the AIIB. Japa n, the US ally inthe region that is most worried by China's growing influence, is not expected to become a member.

韓國媒術報道說首爾將重新考慮自己不加入該行的決定。美國在該地區最擔心中國不斷增加的影響力的盟友日本將不會成爲該行的成員。
