印度姐妹公車上勇鬥性騷擾者

Two sisters on a bus in northern India beat up three men who they say were harassing them, and the video of the encounter has gone viral in a country that has been the scene of much-publicized violenceagainst women.

印度北部兩姐妹用皮帶抽三名對他們實施性騷擾的男子，同車乘客拍下的視頻在這個公開對女性施暴的國家裏傳開了。

The video was filmed Nov. 28 by a passenger on the bus that was traveling between Rohtak, about 40 miles from New Delhi, and Sonipat,about 12 miles from the Indian capital. Both towns are in the state of Haryana.

這輛公車從羅塔克縣開往索內帕特縣，車上的一名乘客於11月28日拍下了這個視頻。羅塔克縣距新德里40英里，索內帕特縣距新德里12英里，這兩個縣都屬於哈里亞納邦。

The sisters, Aarti Kumar, 22, and PoojaKumar, 19, are both students. They say they were subjected to lewd comments from the three men. They responded by attacking the men with their belts. The video shows the other passengers silently watching the events. Such harassment of women is not uncommon in India,and there's even a term to describe it: "Eve teasing."

這兩姐妹分別是現年22歲的Aarti Kumar和19歲的Pooja Kumar，兩人都是學生。她們說那三個男人對她們說了些下流的話，她們就用皮帶作了回擊。從視頻中可以看到其他乘客默默地在一旁觀看，女性遭到此類騷擾在印度並不是稀罕事，甚至還有一個用來形容此類事件的詞：“戲弄夏娃”。

The men were arrested Sunday, and Haryana's chief minister lauded the two young women, saying they would be honored during India's Republic Day celebrations on Jan. 26.

那幾名男子已於週日被捕，哈里亞納邦的首席部長稱讚了兩姐妹，他表示將在1月26日的印度國慶日上授予她們榮譽。

The video and the response of the young women attracted wide coverage in India's media as well as on social media.
