Anthony previously hadn't played in a year after getting released by the Houston Rockets just 10 games into his time with the team.

After getting off to a rough start in the first three games, Anthony looked like his former self this past week, averaging 22.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists over three games.

Doncic and Harden will have plenty of chances to win the award moving forward.

This could be the last time Anthony is up for something like this, though it would be foolish to doubt him considering everything he's accomplished just six games into his return.
