職場英語日記 第35期:和西恩約會續
Well. I almost called Sean and cancelled our date at the last minute. I just didn't feel up to it. I couldn't think of a good excuse though, and I didn't want to deen rude. Then,realized that I was being stupid. Of course I would have a bad time if I made up my ming beforehand that it would be bad.
約會前最後一刻，我幾乎要打電話給西恩取消約會，但突然又不想這麼做了。一來我想不到什麼好藉口，二來我也不想失禮。接着我突然明白自己好笨，如果我事先就一認定約會會失敗，那當然就不可能成功囉。
When he picked me up he gave me flowers--a small bouquet of red tulips, my favorite. I thanked him and told him I love tulips. He looked so pleased that Iliked them so much, I was gld that I made up my ming to give him a chance.
他來接我時，送了我一小束我最喜歡的紅色鬱金香。我謝謝他，並告訴他我很喜歡鬱金香。他好像很滿意我那麼喜歡這些花，而我也很高興並決定給他機會。He seemed like a totally different perspn than when I first met him. He didn't just talk about himself this time, thankfully.
和第一次認識比起來，他好像完全變了個人。謝天謝地，他這回沒有隻一淡自己。
He asked me so many questions about me and when he talked about himself I was genuinely interested in what he had so say. I have to admit, I think I was wrong about my first impression of him.
他還問了我好多問題;等到池講到自己時，我反而對他要講的話真的產生了興趣。我不得不承認自己對他的第一印象是錯的。
