職場英語日記 第51期:討厭的女房東

I can't believe what I did. I forgot to pay my rent this month, I got a call from my landlady this morning and she was furious, I usually give her about 6 month's worth of postdated checks and she deposits them on the 1st of the month, but I guess she ran out I forget to give her more. I feel like such an idiot.

我不敢相信自己會那麼豬頭，居然忘了繳這個月的房租。今天早上接到女房東氣呼呼打來的電話。我通常給她6個月的遠期支票，她則會在每個月第一天把支票存進去，但我想她應該是錢用完了，而我又忘了把錢給她，真是夠糊塗的。

She was yelling at me on the phone, telling me how irresponsible I am. But I have never enen been late with the rent before and I have lived in that place for over a year now. I promised to pay her tonight as soon as I am finished work, but it didn't seem to make her happy. I don't know what else I can do. It's not like I am skipping out on my rent.

她在電話裏對我吼來吼去，說我怎麼那麼不負責任。再怎麼說，我以前都沒有遲交過房租，而且也住了一年多了。我答應今晚一下班就把房租給她，可是這好像沒令她高興。不然要我怎麼辦?我又不是故意不交房租的，就是不小心忘了嘛!

It just slipped my mind. I feel really bad about this. It sucls to be yelled at. She was really nasty to me. I don't think she is being very fair or mature. And she could have reminded me last month that she needed me to drop off more checks. Everyone makes mistakes. I just hope I don't get evicted because of this. I love my apartment!

這件事弄得我心情超級不爽。被人吼的感覺真不是滋味。她對我的態度真的很惡劣，我覺得這樣不太公平，也讓人覺得她很不成熟。或許她上個月有提醒我要付支票吧。可是誰不會犯錯呀?我只希望她不會因爲這件事把我趕出去。我可是很喜歡這間公寓的!
