中國首臺交互機器人問世，美女機器人不再是幻想?
A new interactive robot, named Jia Jia, was unveiled Friday by the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in Hefei, capital of east China's Anhui province.
一名爲“佳佳”的新型交互機器人於週五在安徽合肥的中國科技大學首次亮相。
"Jia Jia" looks very much like a real woman.“
佳佳”看起來和真人女性沒什麼不同。
"Hello everyone, I'm Jia Jia. Welcome!" the eye-catching robot said as it greeted the audience at the university's multi-media center.
這個博人眼球的機器人在大學的多媒體中心問候來賓時說道，“大家好，我叫佳佳，歡迎光臨!”。
"Don't come too close to me when you are taking a picture. It will make my face look fat," Jia Jia said.
“當你拍照的時候不要離我太近，會把我的臉拍胖的。”佳佳說道。
Jia Jia was developed by a robot research and development team at the USTC, which also developed the model service robot "Kejia."
佳佳是由中國科技大學機器人研發小組研發出來的，該小組之前還研製出模型服務機器人“可嘉”。
It took the team three years to research and develop this new-generation interactive robot, which can speak, show micro-expressions, move its lips, and move its body, according to team director Chen Xiaoping.
根據項目負責人陳小平介紹，他們耗時三年研發出這個新型交互式機器人，她能說話，做微表情，動嘴脣及移動身體。
Compared to previous interactive robots, Jia Jia's eyeballs roll naturally and its speech is in sync with its lip movements, in addition to her human-like form, Chen said.

Jia Jia can not cry or laugh and these are areas to be developed, Chen added.

"We hope to develop the robot so it has deep learning abilities. We will add facial expression recognition and make it interact more deeply with people," said Chen.
“我們希望繼續開發這個機器人，使她具有很強的學習能力。我們還將添加面部表情識別，讓她更深入的與人互動”，陳小平說道。
Chen said he hoped Jia Jia would become a wise "robot goddess."
陳小平說，“他希望佳佳成爲一個智慧的“機器人女神。”
He also revealed that Jia Jia was "priceless" and the team would not consider mass production, yet.
他還透露，佳佳是“無價之寶”，團隊不會考慮大規模生產。
Jia Jia will be on show at the 2016 China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair from April 21 to 23.

Nobody likes waking up in the morning to the nagging, electronic bleep of regular alarm clocks or smartphones, but the smell of just-baked croissants and freshly roasted coffee? Now you're talking.

The Sensorwake, currently debuting at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, takes a vastly different approach to getting your attention when it's time to wake up. Instead of using sound to stir you, the clock uses smell, thanks to the "timed release of an aroma of your choice".
這款最近在洛杉磯消費類電子產品展銷會上亮相的鬧鐘名叫Sensorwake，這款鬧鐘能用一種完全不同的方式在早晨該起牀的時候喚起你的注意。並不是用噪音驚擾你的美夢，而是用香氣，這得以於一種“隨心定製定時釋放的香氣”。
The device functions a little bit like a toaster, with reusable scent capsules inserted into a slot along the top edge of the clock. Each capsule lasts for "30 awakenings", meaning you'll get about a month out of a scent before you need to replace it.

There's also the 'Vitalisation Aromatherapy Pack', which offers a Chocolate aroma plus Invigorating Peppermint.

But do scents work as well as a regular audio alarm in terms of waking you up? While we might hate the sound of conventional alarms, they seem to be jarringly effective for most regular sleepers. Rolland claims that the Sensorwake is just as good as audio alarms, with internal testing showing his scent-based alarm wakes 99 percent of people in 2 minutes.
