　catch的用法1：catch的基本意思是“抓住”,指通過追蹤、計謀、武力或突然襲擊等方式抓住運動着的或隱藏的某人或某物。引申可指“吸引”某人的注意力。catch還可表示“理解”“患病”等。

　catch的用法2：catch可用作不及物動詞,也可用作及物動詞。用作及物動詞時,後面跟名詞、代詞或疑問詞從句作賓語,有時也可跟以現在分詞、過去分詞充當補足語的複合賓語; 用作不及物動詞時,主動形式往往含有被動意義。當表示“抓住某人的某部位”時,一般說“catch sb. by the+部位”,這一結構中the不能換爲sb's。catch作“捕獲”解時,後面可以接雙賓語,但間接賓語一般用介詞for引出,而不用to。
