一、雅思寫作如何寫主題句

雅思大作文四個評分標準的第一個就是Task Response(任務迴應情況,以下簡稱TR),即,切題。衆所周知,雅思大作文題目都是由題乾和寫作要求(疑問句或者陳述句)組成的,比如:題目1

Some people think that governments should invest more in teaching science.

Do you think the advantages outweigh its disadvantages?

顯然,爲了切題,題乾和寫作要求都應該在文章主題句中體現出來。否則,寫出的主體段就會出現放在哪個題目下都合適的尷尬局面:輕者考官認爲偏題,重者考官則可能判爲模版,分數可想而知。

二、關鍵詞

“關鍵詞”是題幹中能體現出題意圖的詞或短語,一個核心焦點,即單邊,就有一組“關鍵詞”,如果題幹是雙邊,則用兩組“關鍵詞”表示題幹。那麼如何準確定位關鍵詞呢?毫無疑問,找關鍵詞的前提是讀懂題幹意思,既然能夠代表題幹主旨、出題意圖,那麼在確定關鍵詞之後,假設關鍵詞是“A”,就可以問自己:“這個題目問的是A的原因嗎”、“這個題目問的是A的優缺點嗎?”等。比如:

Because of traffic and housing problems in the cities, the government encourages business to move to the rural areas.

Do you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

關鍵詞如果是“traffic and housing problems”的話,那就可以問:“這個題目問的是:原因是交通和住房問題還是其它的嗎”,顯然不是,同樣方法找出關鍵詞是“business move to the rural areas”。

三、最終原因/結果

綜合所有題目中的“寫作要求”,雅思大作文本質是寫出“關鍵詞”的“原因”、“影響”或“解決措施”。不難理解,在找出題幹“關鍵詞”後,如果問原因,那麼以“關鍵詞”爲起點,需要往前推理,得出“最終原因”;如果問“影響”,那麼以“關鍵詞”爲起始點往後推理得出“最終結果”;如果問“措施”,則在推出原因後,提出相對應的解決措施即可。

invest in teaching science(理科)——>理科科目(subjects)就會增加/學習理科科目的人數就會增加——>理科相關科目從業者(practitioners)就會增加——>促進國家相關行業發展

那麼,以“關鍵詞”爲起點的思路就寫出來了,那麼這個題目中的“最終結果”就是:“促進國家相關行業發展”。另外,需要注意的是此過程中箭頭右邊務必是箭頭左邊的最直接結果,否則,在論證過程中會出現邏輯漏洞。

然後,要確保“關鍵詞”和“最終結果”都出現在文章中,該論點的主題句就可以寫成:

If government funding is invested heavily in science, the corresponding sectors of a country would be improved a lot.

Many people these days work in other countries, taking their family with them.

Do you think the advantages outweigh its disadvantages?

take family with them——>工作時分心(be distracted)——>工作表現不好(poor performance of their duties)——>令老闆失望(be disappointed)

根據“關鍵詞”+“最終結果”,該題目的主題句是:帶家人出國工作令其老闆失望(The decision to move to another country with their family can make the bosses be disappointed)。不難看出,這樣的主題句仍然會使讀者困惑,達不到段落主題句應有的效果,因爲從關鍵詞直接跨到最終結果跨度太大。

這時可以將中間步驟放在“關鍵詞”+“最終結果”之間,改成:“關鍵詞”+某個“中間步驟”+“最終結果”,那麼該題目的主題句可以寫成:

The decision to move to another country with their family may be highly likely to distract those managers from work, which would make the bosses be disappointed.

1、通過比較和對比方式來論證,這樣兩個事物、行爲或者觀點的利弊就非常明顯。

First,they can more broadly acquainted themselves with the society, deepen theirunderstanding of the outside world, and thus better coordinate their objectivesof learning with the needs of the society.

Suppose all the means oftransportation were halted for lack of oil, factories with insufficient rawmaterials would have to close, workers would be out of work, and ripe farm cropswould have to stay in the fields at the mercy of rain and storms. People wouldtry to store food and the price of all commodities would go up. If we take thosepower stations run by oil into account, situations would become even worse.
